Following on from the successful trial of a brick session earlier this month, we will be running at least one more brick session, with an option for a couple more.

The next session will take place on Tuesday 5th June, instead of the usual run session.  There will be a coach on hand to guide the session and guard the bikes during the run legs.

Meeting at the sheltered section of building by the cafe within the grounds of Coombe Abbey, ready to ride at 19.00 prompt.

Cycle there if you can (but don't forget your run shoes!), or there is parking at nearby Coombe Abbey for a fee, or slightly further away at Morrisons for free.

The session consists of multiple short reps alternating between cycling and running.

All abilities welcome - do as many/few reps as desired.

Hi

I don't think it is possible for Alex to do running at Coombe Abbey Park as I go no access to park either public transport or car, even a mountain bike as I haven't got any racing bike yet.

So what is your recommendation for this to be resolve?

Cheers

Alex

Hi Alex,

For this session a mountain bike is fine, but with the nights beginning to draw in lights are essential.  A cycle helmet is, of course, also a requirement.

The location is chosen so that it should be possible to cycle there (Coombe Abbey is ~5 miles from the city centre).  There is a fairly direct & reasonable route there along the Binley road/Brinklow road (the cycle directions at maps.google.co.uk can be useful).

With the winter now approaching, the session on 28th August will be the last one to be taking place at Coombe Abbey until the spring.  All of our other sessions take place closer towards the city centre (usually War Memorial Park/King Henry VIII)

Kind Regards,

Amanda

Hi Amanda

Thank for email, however I do not have one at the moment as I am planning to get new bike from Halford and I won't be getting this until nearer Xmas so I should be up and running for Spring 2013.

I am currently paying fortnightly installment toward new mountain bike.

So see you on the Wednesday - even if you arrive late I will start warming up in the pool until you arrive then!!!

Cheers

Alex
