We hope to resurrect the club rides on the first Sunday of every month.

These are fun social rides at the pace of the slowest, sticking together as a group. Typically about 2hrs (approx 25miles) although the format may vary.

The first is Sunday 7th March, 9.30am meeting at the War Memorial Park, Coventry (main park and ride car park). Starting and finishing at the Memorial Park with tea in the cafe afterwards.

Any questions contact me or Ed.

Don't forget this Sunday for the club ride.

We'll be doing about 25miles. We'll be leaving at 9.30am at the main car park at the memorial park in Coventry. So do arrive promptly.

Please make sure you bring a helmet, pump and spare inner tube as well as a few pennies for tea and cake afterwards.

cheers
Penny

On the turbo??!!!

Is kind of warm, cozy, traffic free and very close to the sofa in case one gets tired.

Is called hybernation, helps preserves from falls, colds, fatigue, serious training etc...

And what makes you thing that!  Wink

Your dedication to run a spinning session for others is very noble, but no thanks, I do turbo in the comfort of my home, knitting scarves and jumpers and doing the crossworlds at the same time Grin

Have you ever heard a sheep complaining of its wool being sweaty?

Obviously not an issue with the fabric!!!

Well it was a beatufiul sunny day and a fantastic turn out for the first club ride of the year. It was one of the biggest club rides I've been on for many years, and was sociable and good fun. Everyone showed some good group riding discipline, and those that participated in the cycle skills session on Saturday said it really helped.

Thanks to Ed for the route, and James for fixing the puncture.

The next one is Sunday 4th April which I think will be more of a training ride with some hill reps of speed work. This will still be for all abilities and will mean everyone will get in a good hard workout.

Watch this space for time, meeting point and more details.

Don't forget the club ride is this Sunday April 4th. 9.30am at the Memorial Park.

This is a training ride suitable for all abilities. We'll be doing some hill reps and work round a short lap, aiming for about 2hrs.

As usual followed by coffee and cake in the memorial park cafe.

As normal don't forget helmets, inner tubes and drinks.

Whatever the weather (unless snow on the ground) we will be riding.

Don't forget the Club Ride is THIS Sunday 6th June.

This time there'll be 2 groups.

Group A: Sociable and at the pace of the slowest as normal.

Group B: For the fitter, faster. Averaging 18mph.
