Have you considered raising funds for a wonderful charity called Marie Curie Cancer Care. It will make all your training so much more worthwhile. Anyway, it's nice that terminal people will benefit from all your efforts.

I am going to give the Ironman Swim in the River Arun (3.8km Tidal River Swim) a go on the 4th June....should be good practise for the scary swim part. (actually, all of it's a little daunting!) Anyone else fancy it?

The Arun swim looks really interesting, good job it's down down stream and with the tide though.
I wouldn't mind doing this if I can get the family on board.
