Coventry Triathletes Club Constitution |
Name:
1. The name of the club shall be “Coventry Triathletes” and it shall be a non-sectarian club.
Objects:
2. (i) To promote and encourage participation in the sports of swimming, cycling, running, Aquathlon, Duathlon and Triathlon.
(ii) To stimulate the interest of the public in the sports of swimming, cycling, running & related multi-discipline sports.
Colours:
The colours of the club will be blue polka dot on a white background.
Membership:
4. (i) The club shall consist of:
(a) first claim members, who may be Senior Members, Associate members, or Junior members (aged 16 years and under)
(b) Second Claim Members.
(ii) A concession of half the annual subscription will be given to Senior Members if at the time of joining or renewing membership they are: -
(a) in full time education
(b) unemployed
(c) 65 years of age or older
(iii) Members joining after August 31st will pay a reduced membership fee, their membership will become renewable on January 1st.
Subscriptions:
5. (i) The rates of annual subscriptions shall be reviewed annually at the club AGM,
(ii) Subscriptions shall be due on 1st January annually.
6. The club shall be run by a committee consisting of:
(i) Chairperson
(ii) Club Secretary
(iii) Treasurer
(iv) Membership Secretary
(v) Welfare Officer
(vi) British Triathlon Delegate
(vii) Cycling Time Trials Delegate
7. At the Annual General Meeting all members of the Committee shall retire from office but shall be eligible for re-election.
8. The club year runs from 1st March.
9. The AGM will be held prior to commencement of the club year.
